6th May
This Week's Services Friday 8 May Sunday 10 May |
Dear James
On Sunday, the UK Blessing song was released, 65 churches and movements across the UK coming together to declare God's blessing, found in Numbers Chapter 6, over our nation: 'The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.'

This is also our prayer for you. So in this season be kind to yourself and receive God's blessing; spend time with Jesus and receive his peace. It's only once we are blessed ourselves, that we can be a blessing to others: Maybe by selflessly staying at home; helping our children with home-schooling; homeworking; or volunteering with Love Your Neighbour. Here's two ways you might also bless someone this week:
Marriage Course
Lockdown may put additional strain on our relationships; the Marriage Course offers some tools and insights that might help. If you and your partner haven't done the course before, why not sign up? Or why not bless another couple by praying for them and encouraging them to try it?

Alpha Online
These uncertain times may raise questions about life, faith and meaning. A survey this week showed 1 in 3 young adults have joined an online service during lockdown. It would appear people are thinking about God. Alpha Online is a place to explore these thoughts alongside others in a small online group.
Surely the best way to bless someone is to introduce them to Jesus. So this week, why not ask God to show you someone you might invite to Alpha. If you sense they wouldn't feel comfortable joining a group, but might watch the videos with you, come and speak to us as we're open to trying new ways to bless people.
