Click here to watch live services

One of the ways that we are connecting with each other on a Sunday, is through the live chat before and during the live services. It is quite simple to use, and we hope that it is something that you are able to access and join in with. Once you have initially set it up and signed in, you shouldn’t need to go through the whole process every time. It is worth the effort!

If you play the service through your TV, why don’t you access the chat from your phone, so that we are still able to connect with each other at this time?

Below are some simple instruction on how to access, and login to the chat.

On a computer or a tablet:

  1. When you are on the YouTube page for the live stream (you can access the services at stjohnscrawley.com/live), the live chat should appear to the left of the video. Move your mouse over the part of the screen that says ‘say something…’ and click on the button which says ‘Sign in to chat’
  2. If you have a google account, then you can use your login details to log in. If you do not have a Google account, then click create an account and follow the instruction to create an account using your email address.
  3. Back on the Live Stream page, again hover your mouse over where it says ‘say something…’ and this time click ‘Create a channel to join the chat’ (that basically means create a YouTube account).
  4. It will give you an option to decide how you would like your name to appear, so edit the boxes if you wish (although it is helpful for people to know who it is in the chat), and then click create channel.
  5. Back on the live stream page, click on ‘say something…’ and this time you should be able to type – so do say hello!

On your phone:

  1. You need to download the YouTube app from your phone’s app store (live chat doesn’t work through the web browser on your phone)
  2. Login with a Google account, or create an account using your email address.
  3. On the Live stream page, if live chat does not automatically appear, there is a small button below the video which says ‘Live chat’. If you click on that the live chat should show.
  4. You may need to click ‘create channel to join chat’.
  5. It will give you an option to decide how you would like your name to appear, so edit the boxes if you wish (although it is helpful for people to know who it is in the chat), and then click create channel.
  6. Back on the live stream page, click on ‘say something…’ and this time you should be able to type – so do say hello!
