We hope that you are keeping well.
It has been good to get such lovely feedback about the online services the last couple of weeks. We are carrying on thinking about how we can be church together in this time, as it is more important than ever for us to stay connected.
This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday, and the start of Holy Week.
If you would like to join in with the 9.30 service, you can download a copy of the 9.30 service sheet here Palm Sunday 9.30 Service Sheet.pdf.
We are using Zoom a lot more, to provide prayer ministry, to meet as Groups, to run Alpha etc. If you would like to know more about Zoom, head to this link to find out how to use it: stjohnscrawley.com/zoom
Monday – Friday we have Morning and Evening Prayer at 9am and 5pm, do join us by using the Zoom Meeting links found here: stjohnscrawley.com/dailyprayer

If you would like to join in with some of the things happening during Holy Week, you may want to have a meal ready to eat as part of the Agape Meal on Thursday - traditionally it is roast lamb. If you would like to partake in communion, you may also want to have some bread and wine ready too.
On Easter Sunday at the 11.30 service, there will be a time of celebration. Why don't you get in some party poppers or balloons, ready to celebrate. We will be asking you to video your celebrations, and send them in, so we can watch them together the following Sunday and see how each of us celebrated.
What do you love about Easter?
For Easter Sunday, we would love you to video yourself telling us what it is you love about Easter. We are going to show these on the live stream before the 11.30 service. It can be as profound or superficial as you like. Please can you email these to email@example.com by Thursday 9th April.
# Love Your Neighbour
On Sunday we will be launching a new initiative in conjunction with HTB, called Love Your Neighbour. This is how we will reach out and love our community through this time, partnering with different organisations and charities around Crawley to support those in need.
Keep your eyes open for more information to follow, with opportunities to get involved - whether you are able to go and deliver food parcels, or be a phone friend to someone who is isolated. There is something for us all to get involved with!

There is no question that we are in a time of change for our nation and the world as a whole, and as Christian's we have a part to play in praying for our family, friends, neighbours, nation and the world.
We are doing this in the form of a virtual prayer room, and would love to see people sign up so that we can pray around the clock through this season. You can sign up for an hour slot here:
Once you have signed up to a slot, you will be sent an email with a link to join the virtual prayer room on Facebook. This is a space where there are lots of ideas and resources to help you pray at home, and we encourage you to add your prayers, words and pictures, so that although apart, we can encourage one another and pray together. If you are not on Facebook, it is really easy to create an account with your name and email address and then delete the account after all this has passed (if you would like someone to talk you through how to do this, email firstname.lastname@example.org).
Why not sign up for a slot with some friends, or as a pattern group and pray over the phone, or through a virtual platform?
Your details on MyChurchSuite
At a time like this, it is more important than ever, that we are able to stay connected. It would be really helpful to us, if you are able to take a moment to check that your details are correct, and in as much detail as possible on MyChurchSuite. This is a secure system that we use, so your data is safe, but really helpful for us as we plan and communicate, and enables us to make sure that we look out for each other as best we can.
You can download the app, or login and edit your details here: https://login.churchsuite.co.uk
Sadly, Focus 2020 has had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. If you have already purchased a ticket, the lead booker should have received an email explaining your options. You can choose to transfer your ticket to Focus 2021 (which is what we will be doing), donate the cost of your ticket, or get a full refund. The lead booker needs to do this by 26th April 2020, otherwise your ticket will automatically be transferred to next year's event.
We will be heading to Focus 2021 as a church family, so although it is still a way off, we hope that you will be able to join us.
We hope you are keeping safe and well.
